The big event is over and the world’s best tango orchestra La Juan D’Arienzo from Buenos Aires – Argentina is on their way home, finishing their October 2018 Tour »Bienvenido a este sector«… And during this tour, they decided to come to Slovenia and play at my milonga La Milonguita Ljubljana. Of course, we had to move the milonga to a bigger place for this night.
How was their performance? Stunning! All that energy, rhythm, musicality… if you haven’t been there, you just cannot imagine how it is when ten excellent musicians step on the big stage of Festivalna dvorana in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
They can bewitch the dancers and everybody else in the audience.
A lot of dancers came from other countries: apart from the Slovenian dancers, we had dancers and tango enthusiasts from Croatia, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Argentina, Armenia, Sri Lanka, France, Germany, to name just a few of them.
Almost one half of the audience came from other countries. Well – it looks like is probably easier to drive to Ljubljana from Graz, Klagenfurt, Zagreb or Trieste than come directly from Ljubljana…
Being the best musicians certainly doesn’t mean that they behave like some rock stars. On the contrary: when not on the stage, they are the nicest, friendliest amazing guys possible… Seriously, all of them!!!
There is such a crazy amount of work involved if you decide to organize such an event by yourself.
But nevertheless – the reward for the countless working hours is definitely the fact that these nice guys are now my dear friends.
