el cachivache quinteto & la milonguita ljubljana 2018
After the excellent first La Milonguita Ljubljana – Special Edition with Orquesta Tipica La Juan D’Arienzo, we had the pleasure to have among us another big player from the Buenos Aires tango scene: time for some tango punk with El Cachivache Quinteto.
The famous tango band from Buenos Aires – El Cachivache Quinteto was in Europa for their 10-years anniversary tour of Europe, and this time, they also put Slovenia on their list.
El Cachivache Quinteto is currently one of the most popular and the best tango bands in the world, very well known in Argentina, Europe, and Asia. Sometimes called ‘Tango Punk’ – mostly because of their appearance, the band is characterized by its creative, original, and very “danceable ” style.
The founders are Vito Venturino (guitar) and Pablo Montanelli (piano); they hold their own weekly milonga in Buenos Aires where the band plays and the musicians DJ.
The evening was full of energy, the floor was crowded, and people were enjoying the excellent music very much.
