The January 2023 milonga La Milonguita Ljubljana was a special event: I was very happy to host the great bandoneon player Leo Gasso from Uruguay.
Leo has had some amazing achievements in the last couple of years: in 2022, he won the competition of the international tango festival for bandoneon in VERMONT (USA).
He was invited to play in the embassies of Argentina in the USA and with the philharmonic of Montevideo – Uruguay, and at the end of the year 2022, he was invited to play in the philharmonic orchestra of Tenerife (Spain) as a soloist accompanying the prestigious lyric singer NancyFabiola Herrera.
Currently, he is in Europe performing as a bandoneon soloist and visiting friends.
Leo impressed all the dancers who enjoyed his performance very much – needless to say, in addition to music for listening, he also plays excellent music for dancing. And apart from this, he is such a nice and kind person that you have to love him.
