My favorite tango orchestra will always be La Juan D’Arienzo — they performed twice at my milonga La Milonguita Ljubljana in Ljubljana a few years ago, and both times were truly unforgettable.
What a beautiful evening it was at De Caravana Milonga in Buenos Aires, where I met them again — Facundo Lazzari, the orchestra’s amazing director, Ricardo Badaracco, and the other wonderful members of the group. We talked about their performances in Ljubljana, laughed, and of course, danced to their always outstanding music.
They will forever remain my dear friends — “mis chicos” from “my orchestra.”
