Greetings from Buenos Aires, the heart of tango! I’m currently here, diving into the world of Argentine tango by visiting different milongas every night. The energy, the music, the dance floors – it’s a tango lover’s paradise!
Last night at Milonga El Milongón, I had a delightful surprise. I ran into three incredible Pablos, each the author of a beloved milonga I often play! These talented musicians are:
- Pablo Valle, leader of the orchestras Pablo Valle Sexteto & Siempre Tango
- Pablo Ramos, leader of the orchestra Los Herederos del Compás
- Pablo Banchero, an amazing singer & tango author
Their music forms my favourite tanda of contemporary milongas: Dotarpeando by Pablo Valle, Bella Ciao by Pablo Ramos, and Muchachos by Pablo Banchero. It was such a funny and unexpected reunion – we took photos together and shared a wonderful evening filled with laughs, stories, and, of course, plenty of tango. Here are the three milongas that brought us all together!
